Kenney Aikin Aircraft Insurance Brokers was formed in 1999 by Patricia Kenney and Ralph Aikin; both are qualified practising insurance brokers (QPIB) and members of the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA). In July 2008 the company merged with Boston Marks Pty Ltd who also specialises in aviation insurance. The new operation remains trading under the name of Kenney Aikin Aircraft Insurance Brokers - the business has expanded but the core focus remains the same.
Patricia Kenney and Ralph Aikin have 40 years combined aviation insurance experience. Patricia had 8 years experience as an aviation underwriter before becoming an aviation insurance broker and establishing an aviation broking office for a major broking house. Ralph commenced his career in aviation insurance in 1989. He is a private pilot with a PIFR and with Patricia, owns a Cessna 210, which they fly regularly.
Damian Hooper joined the company as part of the merger in 2008. Damian had 8 years aviation underwriting experience during the 1990's before establishing a successful general insurance agency which he owned and ran for the last 8 years. Damian also holds a private pilot's licence.
